Pachamama is a branded content project created by Orbea with the aim to showcase gravel cycling and its adventure spirit. Traveling, discovering new places, meeting local people and hearing their stories are the main pillars of Pachamama.
IIn 2022, we were in charge of putting into images 3 different chapters of this webserie, EP 3. Forged in Solitude, EP 5. Les Paves du Nord and, EP 6. Antico Mangano.
Each one of them has brought new challenges in terms of planning and storytelling. In order to keep a consistent look and style through the different chapters, we settled some bases to work through. For example for the interviews, the decision went towards putting the face of the interviewee right next to the edge to create excessive negative space.
Also in terms of color grading we work on a warm skin tone look with a slightly green tint on the shadows that could work in any of the chapters.
Pachamama has been a project that has put us on a wide variety of scenarios from the mountains of Basque country following the path of San Ignacio de Loyola in Forged in Solitude to the beautiful Italian countryside and the hands of its artisans in Antico Magno.

Definitely, this project made us discover new places, meet incredible people and also, it gave us the opportunity to lead the whole process of production together with the Orbea team.
2022 has been the year of gravel and also the year of Pachamama, a project that will be in our hearts for long.
